Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents' Evening to return for third series

Celebrity game show Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents' Evening is set to return to ITV1 and ITVX for a brand-new third series.

The popular primetime format challenges parents on how well they understand their children’s general knowledge. Romesh once again hosts the show, joined by his mum Shanthi, who keeps a watchful eye on the scores — and the banter.

Because on this show, it’s not about what you know, but what your mum or dad think you know.

The new series will run for six episodes, along with a Christmas special. Each week, three celebrity pairings will go head-to-head, competing to win money for their chosen charities.

Romesh Ranganathan says: “I love this show so much and am delighted people are enjoying it enough that we’re doing it again. I can confirm that Mum will be joining once again following an email from ITV that said something like, ‘You need to recognise she’s the main draw.’”

Benjamin Green Exec and Co-Founder of Ranga Bee says: “We’re really excited to be bringing Parents’ Evening back for a third series. The show keeps finding new ways to surprise us; mostly how many ways Shanthi finds to insult Romesh on national television.”

Joe Mace, Entertainment Commissioner ITV says: “Between Romesh, Shanthi and the incredible guests, this series is always jam-packed with laughs. I’m so pleased to be doing more and I can’t wait to see what funny revelations come to light this time around.”
