The Rocky Horror Show is heading to Leicester
Richard O’Brien’s THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW continues its phenomenal UK tour in 2026, once again unleashing its signature spectacle of glam, glitter, and gloriously outrageous entertainment on audiences across the nation. Leading the cast is Stephen Webb, stepping into the iconic heels of Frank ‘n’ Furter and bringing his own magnetic charisma, flair, and theatrical brilliance to the legendary role.
With a powerhouse company ready to deliver their biggest party yet, the production promises a thrilling explosion of energy, mischief, and unforgettable moments. As Stephen Webb takes centre stage, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is set to deliver a year of unapologetically bold, rock ’n’ roll madness that simply cannot be missed.
The coveted role of the Narrator will be shared by Jackie Clune, beloved star of Motherland (BBC Two), and acclaimed comedian Nathan Caton. Clune, who recently appeared in Towards Zero (BBC One), brings her trademark wit, warmth, and commanding presence to the tour. Meanwhile, Caton’s razor-sharp humour — honed through standout appearances on shows including Live at the Apollo (BBC One) and Mock the Week (BBC Two) — ensures audiences will be laughing from start to finish.
Joining them is a stellar cast:
Brad will be played by James Bisp, Janet by Haley Flaherty, Riff Raff by Ryan Carter-Wilson, and Magenta/Usherette by Laura Bird. Columbia will be portrayed by Daisy Steere, Rocky by Morgan Jackson, and Eddie/Dr Scott by Edward Bullingham.
Completing the company are Phantoms Jesse Chidera, Nathan Zach Johnson, Tyla Dee Nurden, and Bethany Amber Perrins, alongside on-stage swing / dance captain David Peter-Brown and on-stage swing / assistant dance captain Lucy Aiston.
Producer Howard Panter said:
“This new cast brings an extraordinary energy and freshness to our legendary show. The thrilling mix of talent will continue to delight audiences across the country. THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is a guaranteed party night after night – it’s fierce, fearless and not to be missed!”
Defying space, time, and convention, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its irresistible blend of science fiction, horror, comedy, and music. Directed by Christopher Luscombe, the smash-hit production features all the beloved songs that have defined generations, including “Sweet Transvestite”, “Science Fiction/Double Feature”, “Dammit Janet”, and, of course, the timeless audience favourite, “Time Warp”.
The story follows Brad and his fiancée Janet — two wholesome college sweethearts whose lives are turned upside down after a chance encounter with Dr Frank’n’Furter. When their car breaks down outside his mysterious mansion, they are drawn into a night of wild adventures filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity. Packed with legendary tunes and dazzling costumes, the show famously invites audiences to join the party by dressing up and embracing the spirit of participation.
Since its humble beginnings in 1973 at the Royal Court’s Theatre Upstairs — where it premiered before an audience of just 63 people — the show has grown into a global cultural phenomenon. Following transfers to the Chelsea Classic Cinema, Kings Road Theatre (1973–79), and the Comedy Theatre in the West End (1979–80), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW became the longest continuous run of a contemporary musical anywhere in the world.
To date, the production has been seen by more than 30 million people across over 30 countries and translated into 20 languages.
In 1975, the show was adapted into the cult classic film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which grossed over $135 million at the box office. More than 50 years after its premiere, it remains the longest-running theatrical release in cinema history. Over the decades, a dazzling array of stars — including Russell Crowe, Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Jerry Springer, Jason Donovan, and Meatloaf — have graced the Rocky Horror stage.
Ready to thrill you with fun and naughty moments, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is the boldest bash of them all. But be warned, this show has rude parts!
THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW will run at Curve Leicester from 6 to 11 April 2026.
